Alan began his career as a Property Manager for a CBD Real Estate Company in 1974 and also completed Business Studies and Building Techniques at RMIT University during this period. In 1996, the attraction to being involved in all facets of Commercial Buildings and their Maintenance motivated Alan to run his own Building and Maintenance Business for 8 years until founding Arden in conjunction with Richard Pitcher in 2002. Alan holds an unlimited Commercial Builders Licence in Victoria with mutual recognition in all States of Australia as well as a diploma in OH&S.
Richard began his career in the building industry as a plumber and holds a Plumbing Licence and a Residential Builders (Vic) licence. Prior to the formation of Arden in 2002, Richard successfully ran his own Plumbing business for 12 years and has never forgotten the hands on experience he gained throughout this period. Richard is highly energetic and focused on developing the services Arden provides.

John Fell – General Manager
John began his career in 1985 as a Mechanical Design Draftsperson at WSP Lincolne Scott for 15 years, working on projects including the National Art Gallery, Crown Casino, Melbourne Museum & Southgate. In 2000 John changed his career path and became a Carpenter working on the tools for a further 6 years. In 2006 he gained his Domestic Unlimited Building License in Victoria, as well as becoming a registered Draftsperson (Building Design Architectural). John began his own design and construction business which he ran for 12 years, before joining the Arden team in 2018. He has a variety of experience within the building industry from design through to construction.

Jake Gething – State Manager
Jake Gething has been part of the Arden Building and Maintenance team since 2014, having started as a carpenter and progressing to the role of State Manager for our New South Wales office. Jake’s strength is strong communication, excellent project management skills and the ability to understand the requirements for the customer, leading to exacting standards and outcomes.

Peter Bren-Clarke – State Manager
Peter began his career in hospitality and retail and evolved through many of our major clients companies including Hungry Jacks, Shell, Coles and Puma Energy (Chevron) in operations and construction. He joined the Arden Building team in 2017 and holds qualifications in Safety, Project and Business Management. His passion is building teams that understand client expectations and strive to deliver this safely. Peter works closely with the Directors and Executive to support State team to deliver client expectations.

OHS&E and QA Manager
Glenn Welsh is Arden’s head of OH&S – a role that increases in importance every year. Glenn has obtained Certificate 4 in OH&S from the MBAV and played a major role in Arden’s AS 4801 accreditations. Glenn has a broad experience working with education facilities and is an expert in ensuring that the paperwork associated with on-site OH&S yields the desired results. Glenn is also a qualified in electrical Test and Tag, Hot works permit writing, MSDS expert and Coles Express permit writer.
